MOSAIC PROJECTS FOR SCHOOLS
Having always been involved with arts and crafts based volunteer work with children and adults, I plan to expand on this and introduce more people to mosaic through my workshops, as well as developing work with schools on projects that are fun to do. They are educational and can help build confidence, improve communication skills and also help enhance the working environment.
I have CRB clearance and am also an experienced special educational needs teaching assistant. I have a C&G 7303 Teaching and Training Certificate and have also studied for a Certificate in Educational Coaching with Newcastle University.
I have been involved in creative volunteer work with children for the past few years and also with community arts projects. Being a new business, I am working on further developing my community and schools project work and and would welcome any opportunities - large or small.
My aim is to introduce Mosaic Workshops to children of all ages within schools as either an individual or collective project that can be displayed and also permanent school projects that will enhance the environment. Mosaic can be applied as a learning tool in the playground, as a sculpture on a wall inside or outside the school, or a practical item such as a bench which can be enjoyed by everyone. These offer children the opportunity to learn news skill involving creative and practical thinking and at the same time can help with confidence and communication skills, whilst also being great fun.
